Ansco Again

Another image using the Ansco Twin Lens Reflex. This is the Hanchett-Bartlett house out on St. Lawrence.

Pin Hole

I have a body cap for my D300 that has a pin hole in it. It makes it a 50mm lens with an aperture of f/180. So when I was out and about this morning I saw these back lit daffodils and gave it a try. The exposure was 1.6 seconds with an ISO of 200.

Twin Lens Fun

Three versions of the Belding Road school house taken with a Nikon D300 and 105mm Macro lens shooting the image on the ground glass viewfinder of an Ansco twin lens reflex. Who needs a Lensbaby, Holga, or Lomo to shoot hip, arty photos? As my friend Bruce would say "Gimmick!"

Thanks to Steve Rosenbach of 2nd Exposure

Took this image this morning walking back to work from the bank. Thanks to Steve Rosenbach of 2ndexposure.blogspot.com for the idea. It does pay to look down sometimes

Taking My Own Advice

As I posted earlier, I advise my students to carry their camera everywhere with them and I did that this morning when I walked over to Pleasant Street Coffee before class.

From Today's Walk with Abbey

Spring is finally arriving. It was a beautiful day so I took Abbey to the pet exercise area at Palmer Park so she could run free. And as stated here before, I'm carrying my camera everywhere and trying to shoot something.

From Today

One of the things I'll be telling my Introduction to Photography class this Saturday is that you don't need to go to exotic places to take photographs. Just carry your camera with you everywhere you go. So I took my own advice and here are four images from today, two from work and two from a walk with Abbey.

I've Looked at Clouds That Way

Interesting clouds tonight in advance of some rain and snow.
