I photographed my grand nephew and niece this morning and it was quite an interesting shoot. It started out well and then the fun began as you can see in the last photograph. Can't wait to do it all over again. Yikes! What am I saying?
I've rediscovered my passion for photography this year. I don't know how it happened, but as a result, I just can't put my camera down. I've even started teaching photography again.
I photographed two of the four musicians who preformed at the Inauguration today; Itzhak Perlman and Yo-Yo Ma. Yo-Yo looks much older now. Itzhak was doing a bit for patients at Strong Hospital when he was in town for a concert at the Eastman Theater. I didn't get a good photo of him but here's one of Yo-Yo-Ma. Yo-Yo Ma was there for the same reason and was conducting a master class at the Eastman School of music.
Still haven't pulled the camera out as I'm working on my Photoshop 101 course material. The first session was this past Saturday and I had nine participants. It was GREAT! I really like being back in front of a class.By February I'll have 13 participants! So here's a photo from my time in Arkansas of my friend DeeAnn, a great fiddle and banjo player. I did this shot in my so called studio, a small, narrow room off the garage.

A few photos from last night's opening of The Magic of Light exhibit at the Image City Photography Gallery. These were taken before the crowds showed up. It was a successful opening night and at one point was elbow to elbow. Had a great time and saw some Rochester friends who showed up. I was the center of some attention because I came out from Wisconsin.
