Abstract
Here's an image from a shoot today at the annual Rock River Thresheree. This is the drive of a small steam engine that pulls a couple of cars around the property. A few more abstracts can be seen at: www.tylerphoto.com/abstract/

Downtown Public Art
Was walking around downtown this morning before work and photographed a Vern Shaffer sculpture that stands by the Rock River at the west end of the Grand Avenue bridge. My intention was to get four completely different photographs of it as an example of an exercise that I'll be giving out to my students who take the Digital SLR workshop I'm delivering in late September. This is one of the four images I selected.

Maria Smith
I was reviewing some old photographs to use as examples for the workshop I'll be teaching at the end of September when I came across this nice image of Maria Smith. I was shooting photos for the web site for the Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour in Mountain View, Arkansas. It was a great way to meet all of the artists and crafts people in the area and I got some rather interesting photographs.

Point of View
I was in Rochester, New York, this past weekend to photograph the bike races (photos later) and I was out on the R.I.T. campus to take some images to use as examples for a workshop I'll be teaching.
Here's a shot of the Albert Paley sculpture that stands in the main entry area by the union and admin building.
